International Students

Greetings,

We are delighted to formally invite you to attend the 2008 SAVMA Symposium held in Alabama from March 20 - 22!  This is the first time that two schools are hosting this event together and we are extremely excited to make history.  Between Tuskegee University and Auburn University, we are proud of the amount of diversity represented on both campuses and are both active with the IVSA.

This unique symposium will give students the opportunity to showcase both of our schools and experience traditional southern food and hospitality.  Following past symposiums, we will have three full days and nights filled with fun and education.  We have daytrips showcasing the history of Tuskegee, campus tours of both Auburn University and Tuskegee University, and various activities around the area.  The night events will keep everyone entertained and give attendees the opportunity to network with other veterinary students.  Best of all, we will have an amazing keynote speaker on the culminating night of the symposium!

Since Tuskegee and Auburn have such multicultural student populations, we are branching out in our diversity efforts to include more international veterinary students for our upcoming symposium.  We understand that coming to an event such as this places an immense financial burden on students.  Therefore, we would like to extend a helping hand and offer monetary assistance to those students who are interested in participating in our event.  We will give the first ten students who respond to this letter $400 to use toward traveling expenses.  We hope this will lighten the responsibility of those who want to attend and partake in all the fun that Alabama has to offer!

Please let us know if you are interested in coming to the 2008 SAVMA Symposium, held March 19 – 23, by October 1, 2007.  Again, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to the international students of veterinary medicine to come and join us in this event.  Hopefully with your presence and enthusiasm for our profession, this symposium will be remembered forever!

Sincerely,
